JSC’s remit for the Investec Derby Festival 2013 was to ensure the event was a sell-out across both days, deliver coverage in high-end lifestyle media and develop a continuous stream of historical, fashion, royal and racing content pre and during event. JSC managed the day-to-day running of the two day festival, press & photographer accreditation, broadcast and celebrity liaison and the management of royal attendees. Crisis PR activation regarding the 100th Year Anniversary of Emily Davison was also controlled by the JSC team.

JSC generated over 400 pieces of lifestyle and racing coverage with a PR value of £6.4 million and exposure was generated across multi-media platforms during and throughout the event. Highlights included extensive branding across Channel 4, NBC, Sky Sports News, Telegraph, Vogue, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, ES magazine and The Times. Re-active and pro-active PR surrounding the Emily Davison story was successfully contained to the specific communication plan set by JSC. Over 250 press and photographers were accredited and managed by the team over the two day event.
