Zoey Bird is a presenter and reports for Sky TV’s ‘At the Races’ (ATR). After graduating from Lancaster University, where she captained their University equestrian team, Zoey made the move to London to do her post graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism, subsequently joining ITN. Here she cut her teeth working as a reporter and presenter for both 5 News and the ITN News channel.

In 2003 Zoey moved from ITN into horse racing industry, where she joined At the Races. She is composed under pressure and enjoys the unpredictability of live broadcasting and can be found reporting at major race meetings for Sky Sports. Whilst Zoey has been with ATR she has written features for their website, as well as being a columnist for The Sun. In addition to reporting, Zoey has hosted corporate events for Ladbrokes, Betview, and the Animal Health Trust awards.

In her spare time Zoey is actively involved in helping re-home and re-train retired racehorses. She has had great success with ‘Murat’ with whom she has won several Retrained Racehorse Classes, ultimately qualifying for the 2014 championships at Royal Windsor. She is also a muse for Milliner Dawn Guibert, so look out for Zoey sporting her creations at Royal Ascot this year!

Zoe hails from a sporty family, she inherited her love of racing from her parents who trained National Hunt horses and her brother Sam finished 5th at the end of Formula E’s inaugural season. She loves fashion and food and would love to diversify into these areas in the future.
