Big-race-winning young rider

One of the brightest young riders in the weighing room, Harry took less than two full seasons to ride out his claim, and after his apprenticeship with Andrew Balding has forged a flourishing association with in-form Newmarket trainer James Owen. He has quickly made his mark in the sport’s most valuable and competitive handicaps with back-to-back Chester Cups on Zoffee (2024) and East India Dock (2025), becoming the first jockey in 20 years to win the race in consecutive years. 2026 highlights include the “Dash” at Epsom on Derby Day aboard Arklow Lad, and the prestigious          Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot on Rogue Diplomat.
